個人学習と日本のメディア

 昔色々な言語を習ってみたかったから、日本語を一人で勉強し始まりました。特に日本語を選んだ理由は、日本の歴史や文化に興味がありました。そして、いつか日本に行きたかったです。

卒業した後で、働く会社で日本のクライアントを手伝っているチームに入るつもりです。だから、その前に、もっと会話の練習とけいごの使い方を習わなくてはなりません。

日本学習の中で、音楽を聞いたり、アニメを見たり、本を読んだりするのが一番好きです。もちろん、他の人と話す練習する予定ですね。

今学期、個人学習プロジェクトで、NHK Newsや面白い本や好きな歌を使おうと思います。便利な内容のミクスになるんじゃないかと思います。

To be honest, I read this article because I saw a cute animal on it. Upon reading the article, I learned about the Japanese government's past efforts to combat the population of venomous snakes in Kagoshima prefecture. I found this article interesting because I also became acutely aware of the large population of venomous snakes, particularly the ハブ, in Japan during my stay in Okinawa, which is not far from Amami Island. In fact, I was able to see the Amami Island chain from Yanbaru Peninsula during my time there, which makes this story more tangible to me. I did not know that the government introduced mongooses to try to rid the island of the snakes, but it is fascinating that the new population caused enough issues that they had to try to capture the mongooses still on the island, all 10,000 of them. Overall, this was an enjoyable read about the fauna in the Japan.
